The Virginia Tech Hokies are the athletic teams representing Virginia Tech in intercollegiate athletics. The Hokies participate in the NCAA's Division I Atlantic Coast Conference in 22 varsity sports.

The Hokies are a very forward-thinking department that prioritizes data collection and user experience to drive business outcomes.
WMT worked across mutiple areas of Virgina Tech Athletics to understand the vision and functional needs they envisioned for their fans; From there, we partnered with our development, design, and mobile teams to create an app that not only could serve as a smooth, lighting-fast platform to keep up with the school’s athletic news, rosters, highlights, and schedules but also provide users with a unique gameday experience that the Virginia Tech staff can customize and control. Our UX / UI backend team created custom pages and content blocks that allowed VT to include custom call to action buttons, banners and signing day pages, and even photo galleries. Our proprietary engineering and development skyrocketed user engagement and increased overall app retention rates.

WMT was able to create a utility for the Hokies despite not managing its official website at the time of launch. Virginia Tech also utilized the multi-mode functionality to curate around major events.
