The University of Virginia is a public research university in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. It was founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson and contains his Academical Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Virginia has teams that compete at the very pinnacle of their sport and WMT was charged with developing a digital platform that best represented their prestige.
WMT’s Solutions team facilitated a collaborative discussion between the athletic department communicators and the WMT design team to deliver a clean and fresh aesthetic with an intuitive user experience. Working hand in hand with the Cavs team, the digital platforms are able to integrate and amplify the existing resources across video, audio, and a beat writer.
Virginia chose WMT to build an intuitive user friendly official athletics website as well as a mobile app to serve as a priority utility for their fans.
Audio Strategy
The Cavaliers have a robust audio strategy that was amplified by the WMT app. A custom audio pages was created within the app to promote and deliver live game broadcasts as well as an extensive podcast schedule.
