The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are the athletic teams that represent the University of Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish participate in 26 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division intercollegiate sports and in the NCAA's Division I in all sports, with many teams competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Our creative team partnered with our development team and designed a site that not only could serve as a smooth, lighting-fast platform to keep up with the school’s athletic news, rosters and highlights, but also provide users with stats and a comprehensive schedule for each and every sport. Our UX / UI backend team created custom pages for the Irish including custom call to action buttons, banners and signing day pages, and even photo galleries. Our proprietary engineering and development skyrocketed user engagement and increased overall site retention rates.
Notre Dame was looking for a digital partner that could create a 1-of-1 experience. There is no other university like Notre Dame and the partnership with WMT is focused on the uniqueness of the Fighting Irish and their fan base.
In addition to significant user increase YOY on web since 2018, Notre Dame's mobile app has been one of it's biggest success stories. With the addition of a mobile ticketing SDK and a renewed mobile app strategy in partnership with WMT's content services team, app users increased 350% YOY from 2020 to 2023.
WMT's team of designers and engineer worked hand in hand with Notre Dame to create the Signing Day page for 2020. The idea behind this pages was to create something unique, engaging, accessible from mobile and fun for fans to learn more about the signing class of 2020.
One of the key features on this site is that it lives inside the OAS and it is bootstrapped into the same content management system (CMS) as the Official Athletics Site, this means that this page can be modified from the same CMS as UND.com
Mobile App Design
WMT and UND's vision for the Fighting Irish mobile app was to deliver an on-brand experience for users to consume news, live scores, access tickets, and more. UND has led the way in custom mobile page experiences for fans that drive engagement and open a new category for sponsorship.
