Three New Apps Flex Customization

Mobile apps launched for Virginia Tech, Stanford, and Auburn highlight advantages of the custom approach at WMT Digital.

The Big Idea: Every program has unique challenges and opportunities. The agnostic approach at WMT unlocks creative solutions for varied strategies.

Not a WMT Site. An additional level of technical ability is also illustrated in these three apps in that the official athletics website is not powered by WMT.

Multi Modes. Virginia Tech has leveraged the mobile page builder tool to bring intuitive features only a toggle away.

  • Fall Camp Mode not only allowed Hokie fans to dive into the deep camp coverage but the page provided a creative digital sponsor activation.
  • Triumph Mode took a crowdsourced fundraising campaign for both its fundraising arm and NIL organization and facilitated easy donations and effectively sold the "why" to give.
  • Gameday Mode transforms the home screen to include only those features that directly enhance gameday whether at home or in Lane Stadium.

Agnostic Integration. Stanford displayed their spirit of innovation by becoming the first major college athletics client to partner with Vivenu for their ticket services.

WMT’s engineers worked hand in hand to ensure a seamless integration of Vivenu’s platform.

Customized Homepage. The Auburn mobile app has a new homepage news feed tied to the user’s sport preferences. It allows Auburn to display their most important content and wrap it around the user’s preferred information. The homepage also promotes additional fan engagement opportunities through integration with third-party vendors.

  • Sport & Story’s WarEagle+
  • FanMaker powered Kids Club
  • Shift4 mobile concessions and unique gameday experiences

The network of WMT partners continue to innovate and push each other to enhance the digital user experience.
