Additionally, enhanced multimedia integration, including an upgraded video engine, photo galleries, and embedded media brings fans a richer experience in following Stanford's student-athletes and teams.
"We are thrilled to launch this new site in collaboration with WMT Digital," said Dominic Simons, Assistant Athletics Director for Digital Strategy. "Our goal was to create a digital platform that reflects the excellence of Stanford Athletics and enhances the way our fans connect with their favorite teams. We can't wait for our community to explore and enjoy the new GoStanford.com, as well as iterate on and improve the experience for fans moving forward."
“The team at WMT has spent the last year working with Stanford, to build a mobile app platform that helps to better connect with and understand their fans. It's been an exciting project and pleasure working with Bernard Muir, Carter Henderson, Dominic Simons and their outstanding external team to achieve their vision," said Andres Focil, Founder & CEO of WMT Digital. "We're all enthusiastic about expanding our work with Stanford to support both its mobile app and official website, where we plan to launch new features that allow their team more opportunities for editorial-style content. Stanford's reputation as an innovator is well-earned, and we're thankful that they've chosen to collaborate with our team at WMT with these projects as they embark on their entry into the ACC."
With the website update comes an updated mobile app experience to the existing Stanford Cardinal app. Fans are encouraged to download the latest version of the app on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
